We were introduced to Churu by the shelter we adopted our lovely little feral kitties from… it was initially the only interaction we could have with them that didn’t result in hiding or hissing. In addition to helping them overcome their fear of us, we discovered our old lady cat liked it too!Now that we’re having to give her a daily medication, we’d run into trouble with almost every type of administration (topical cream for her ear, liquid, pill)… then I got the idea to crush the pill and mix it in Churu. After checking with the vet that it was okay to crush the pill — it’s not a good idea to crush time-release meds, but thankfully this med isn’t — we tried it. Mixed in the Churu, she actually seems to look forward to her medication! While not a proper food unto itself, Churu has been a sort of miracle treat for our kitties young and old! A little on the expensive side, but totally worth it!

It started with me not being able to leave the empty wrapper outside of the trash can because my cat would go behind my back and chew up the wrapper to try to get left over treat out. I’d forget the wrapper on my nightstand and go to the bathroom, I’d come back to a chewed up wrapper on the floor. Not a big deal. But recently, my cat has been throwing up multiple times a day. I was confused because it looked like hairballs but he’s a short haired cat. That was until yesterday, after he had thrown up on my bed, that I noticed the bright purple scrap in his throw up. HE’D BEEN GOING THROUGH THE TRASH TO EAT THE WRAPPERS! It was making him sick but he kept going back for more.I also noticed that he gets really cranky if he doesn’t get one treat a day and I thought he was just being a cat until I noticed he was going through my trash for a fix. I mean at least this means he really likes the treats.10/10 will be buying again! I included pictures of the addict in question

My senior cat takes several medications that he hates and can sniff out in any food. His vet tried liquid, concentrate, powder, pills, etc. Mr. Cranky always refused it, even in his favorite food. Someone recommended we mix it with Churu and wow!! He loves it! He watches us mix the medicine into the Churu and does the anticipatory cat butt wiggle, then wolfs down his medicine. This stuff is amazing! However, be warned, it is VERY addicting. We always give our other cat some Churu while Mr. Cranky gets his with medicine. She will sit by the Churu container and meow periodically throughout the day and, worse, night. :)

My cat only gets Churu right after I clip her nails and special occasions. (She gets other treats for regular occasions) When clipping her nails, I used to have to make her into a purrito because she struggled so much and to avoid me becoming a bloody mess. I started giving her Churu as soon as I finish clipping her nails and she barely puts up a fight and without her being a purrito now!! She knows she’s getting rewarded the minute I’m done, so the faster I finish clipping her nails, the sooner she gets her Churu so she no longer struggles. In fact, I can see her licking her lips while clipping her nails in anticipation of Churu, so her mind is focused on the Churu instead of her nails getting clipped. The Kitty Kwack power of Churu is real!!

My cat has been addicted to these for a while now. Seriously . . . an addiction like no other.Yes, they’re a little pricey compared to other treats, but in the long run, I consider all the treats that have gone to waste because my kit didn’t like them and these are a bargain.A friend had been trying for several months to socialize a feral cat that showed up in the lot next to his. Then, he recently discovered she’d given birth to a litter of 3.In trying to socialize them enough to take them to a shelter, I gave him some of my Churu’s to try.He said it only took 2 tries with the momma cat, and 4 tries with the kittens once they were weaned. Now, he’s literally got them climbing up his leg as soon as they see him holding a Churu tube. They’ll be off to the shelter soon, and momma will be off to be spayed too, but thanks to these, they are all socialized and will easily find forever homes.

We have one male and one female Siamese cat that loves their INABA Churu. The male has prescription dry food for a urinary issue common in male cats. The wet option in that food he refuses to eat so we buy the dry. Our vet recommended adding some wet food, also, to add more liquid to his diet. We tried everything the vet offered. Then we tried everything at our local pet boutique that has all the high-end brands. We saw this on Amazon and thought it was a treat. Our cats love it so much we decided to stop wasting money on the wet food our cats only eat half of and the other half goes to waste. Our male still eats the dry completely each day. He sits on us in the morning talking Meezer to us until he gets his INABA. We don’t as many flare-ups with his bladder issues. We got it on auto-ship now.

Our cats go nuts for this stuff! We use this treat just before we go to bed so we know we didn’t accidentally leave a cat in the screen room or accidentally close them up in a closet or in the laundry room. About an hour before treat time, they start making sure we don’t put out the treat without them. We have three cats and use one tube , splitting it in three bowls. That seems to be plenty because if one doesn’t want their portion, the other two takes a couple nibbles each and leave the rest. That one cat is elderly and isn’t interested in eating. This treat was described to me by the person who recommended it as “kitty crack”.

Whether your kitty has FIP or not, the fact that my kitty who wouldn’t eat for weeks without it being shoved down her throat – finally would eat on her own with this treat?. I can’t say enough. The best part? It makes her thirsty, so she frequents the water dispenser shortly after eating – which was another problem that comes with this feline disease. We’ll be back for more and more. She takes her medicine now- without as much pushback, because she knows this line of paste is coming her way. Absolutely awesome!!

I was so happy to find Inaba Churu cat treats. My two oriental cats go crazy when I pull them out of the cupboard shake the container and shout churo !One of my cats has to take tablet form medication.I open one of the treats a put the tablet inside of the product. That works and you have less of a chance of your cat becoming stressed out giving a medication while wrapped up in a towel.Just one thing I would like to mention. The price isn’t stable. Approximately 2 weeks ago I paid $22 for 50 today I see the price has Jumped up to just under $30 … That is very expensive. With that said I will continue to purchase Inaba Churus for my cats.Jan L S

Both my cats take lysine to help boost their immune system for feline herpes virus. This makes it very easy to give them their dose twice a day, before it was impossible. They are 100% healthy now, but the cat pictured has a serious CHURU ADDICTION lol. She knows what times she gets it, will remind you non stop until it has been given, meows the entire time I’m fixing their plates, then SCREAM meows demandingly as I’m walking to the spot to put it down. My non addicted cat enjoys it and will eat it, but she doesn’t really care if she gets it or not. XD so strange. But HIGHLY recommend these treats for any medicine your cat needs, or just as a treat in general. But if not for medicine, I’d highly suggest limiting how much you give them or you’ll have a demanding addict in your home.
