   My 14 year old black lab had been struggling with hip pain and not sleeping through the night. He was always “nesting” in both of his beds in search of a comfy place to sleep. I bought this bed to replace the bed in our living room to replace his current smaller bed, to give him more room to stretch out and for the orthopedic foam. It was a hit and he stays in this bed much longer than his old one and he gets up much easier and stable. He is also now sleeping through the night. I don’t hear him pacing or moving from room to room or asking to go out.I have a much more expensive bed in the house that he has refused to sleep in for a couple years now. So, I know he is willing to sleep in his new bed not just because it’s there, but because it’s comfortable on his old achy bones. He’s still figuring out the logistics of his newly acquired real estate (he likes to rest his head on the bolsters) but he’s stretching out and enjoying it more everyday.It’s early on, so I haven’t had to wash it yet, but it looks easy to clean and durable, compared to other beds I have had.

   This dog bed is loved and used by everyone in the family. I’m not even kidding. My kids love to lay in it while watching TV and my wife and I sit in it while playing with our toddler on the floor (it’s easier on the joints! 🤣). My dog also loves it…when she gets to use it. She’s starting to get up there in age and her hips were starting to bother her pretty badly to the point where she couldn’t lay down at all…anywhere for longer than a few seconds. She would even fall asleep standing up sometimes!I knew it was time to upgrade her old dog bed to something more supportive. She LOVES this bed. It’s extremely soft…like I wish my couch was this soft. It’s really well made and is very thick on the sides and the bottom. It’s a sturdy bed! For size reference my dog is a mutt/terrior and weighs about 28lbs. I got her a large. She has plenty of room to stretch out if she wants to or she can curl up against a side. If you have a 30lb (or so) dog and it likes to sleep in a ball all the time you could definitely get away with getting a medium vs a large. Highly recommend! Will update in a few months for report of durability and ease of cleaning.

   We purchased the Jumbo “velvet waves” version of this bed. Right now it’s really cushy, though the egg carton mattress does seem a bit light, so might compress a bit over time. (We have another bed with a similar mattress that’s held up well, so fingers crossed.) The cover was easy to remove/wash/put back on.We got the jumbo because our dog is ~65lb, but it turns out the large would have been plenty… this bed is huge! It fits fine in my husband’s office so we decided to keep it (plus the jumbo mattress is a little thicker than the large one, which is a plus). Overall happy with our purchase!

   So… I have two 65 lb. Pittie’s and they generally don’t tear things up that aren’t meant to be torn up. Dog toys and such have a short shelf life, but outside of the puppy stage the furniture and most items around the house are safe. For that reason, I thought the two new Furhaven beds I bought them were safe. Nope, for some unknown reason I was gone for a morning and I came home to find one shredded.Ugh. To say I was pissed is a massive understatement. I was seriously ready to kill them. They were “this close” to being… passed on! No more! Ceased to be! Expired and gone to meet their maker! Stiffs! Bereft of life, and resting in peace! Pushing up the daisies! Their metabolic processes being history! Off the twig! Kicked the bucket, and shuffled off their mortal coils, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin’ choir invisible!! THEY WERE THIS CLOSE TO BEING EX-PITTIES!!After a bit of yelling and screaming and putting the fear of dog in them cooler heads prevailed. It took me a couple of days to summon the energy to clean up the pieces of the bed, but in doing so realized that I just might be covered under the Furhaven “Worry-Free 60 Day Program”… and I was. I contacted Furhaven and emailed them photos of what was left of the bed and they sent me a new replacement. Thank You Furhaven.As the beds go they are really nice. I purchased two of the:Furhaven Pet Bed for Dogs and Cats – Plush and Velvet Waves Perfect Comfort Sofa-Style Cooling Gel Foam Dog Bed, Removable Machine Washable Cover – Granite Gray, Large ( Item / model number: ‎88449537)For my two 65 lb. Pitbulls these large beds are a perfect size. They easily fit one to one and a half dogs, and since my younger 5-year-old female has no concept of personal space they are often both found in one of the beds together. The quality seems fine… unless your Pitbulls are on a, ummm, tear. They are nice and soft. About the only thing I can think of, only word of advice is to maybe take them apart and wash them once a month. When the one got shredded it prompted me to wash the one that wasn’t and it was dirtier inside on the foam and cooling gel bit than I thought it would be. Long story short, I am quite happy with having found and purchased these beds.

   This bed has ruined every other bed in the house. Will mow have to replace all other beds with this one. Just gave it to her last night and then when I brought her into the bedroom to sleep at the end of the night, she just sat by the bedroom door waiting to go back out to this bed…

   Our dog loved it right out of the box. Even though we have only had it a month it seems to be well made and easy to disassemble when it is time to clean. I didn’t rate “Chew Proof” as our dog is 8 and not a chewer, but the material seems very sturdy. . She immediately made it her go to spot so we bought another one for our second floor which she also uses when we are in that part of the house. The only time she doesn’t use the bed is when she wants to sleep in the spots of sunlight as it moves across the room. Otherwise she is in one of them. The cost I think is a excellent value for a better bed ( why we bought a second one) compared to the pet supply and big box store beds and prices we shopped comparing quality and size for the money.

   As soon as I opened the packaging (vacuumed sealed double bagging), I thought it would smell like chemicals because compressed box mattresses always smell horrible for a week. There was ZERO smell which is great especially for immediate use with dogs. I myself would have slept in this dog bed because it was that soft and cozy. As soon as I set it in front of my dogs they walked over to it sniffed it and laid down. The white one pictured has barely gotten up from it she loves it so much. My lab doesn’t really lay in beds but even he has been cozying up in it!! I’m very pleased with this purchase and my pups seem to agree. They both fit extremely comfortably in the jumbo size and honestly a third dog could probably fit as well.

   We bought this bed for our 120 pound 10 year old Rottweiler. She injured her knee and could no longer get on her couch. Every bed we purchased was too small or she wouldn’t use it (hence her own couch). She immediately gravitated to this bed and I must say the mattress is high quality and therapeutic for her. I haven’t washed it yet, but I can tell the fabric will hold up. Look no further you and your dog will love it.

   I put a lot of research time into buying my dog beds. I have 4 dogs (always will:) and want the best. The puffy ones may look nice, but will wear down quickly. I believe memory foam is just as good for dogs as it is for people. Think about lying on a hard surface with your elbows! This is a nice thick bed, and I LOVE the way it looks. The bolsters are something I’m trying out, and my dogs seem to either like them a lot, or don’t really care. I got two Large instead of the jumbos simply for cleaning and mobility factors. The linen color/fabric that I chose seems very durable. The fuzzy bed part is soft and we’ll see how it wears in the coming years. So far I’m very happy with the beds and hope Furhaven will be my go-to for beds in the long term.

    Definitely more expensive than it should have been, but he likes it! Only had it a few days now but no complaints. Got the jumbo size so our dog (65 lbs) so he could sprawl out and get comfortable like he would on our bed. This is helping us make the transition from him sleeping on our bed to sleeping on his own (due to my allergies, sleep quality, etc). It’s very soft and it has great cushion. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to treat their dog to a nice bed. He doesn’t even go near his old one anymore (that one wasn’t cheap either lol).
