Each winter we gather pinecones with our grandkids to make feeders for birds. We tie a string around the pine cone for tying on a branch and cover with peanut butter. More gets eaten than goes on the pine cone, but they have fun. This bird seed is much small than the wild birdseed and appeared to have pretty much the same ingredients but small. We add dried berries and sunflower seeds to make it a bit more attractive to the wood peckers. Fun project and easier for little fingers to have the finer grain of bird food.

I live in Palm Springs, CA. I have 3 or 4 different breeds of small birds which are native to the area that nest in the trees surrounding me. I first started putting this seed in a small bird feeder statue on my back patio. It has a lovely citrus scent and before long, it was attracting birds. I had from 6 to 8 regulars coming by to eat. That quickly grew and now I have dozens of birds that come every day; morning, afternoon and evening to feed. I go through a 3-pound bag of Wild Harvest Universal seed every 2 days. Fortunately, it’s not very expensive and the enjoyment I get from watching the birds feed, play in my water fountain and sing me awake every morning is worth every cent. I now have hummingbirds coming so I got them a couple feeders, which a group of bees also enjoy. Then the beautiful and sweet Mourning Doves started visiting every day. They come in pairs and I have 6 to 8 regulars. I purchased a different seed for the doves, to make sure they get what they need. My back patio has turned into an enchanting little open-air bird aviary, and it all started with this Wild Harvest Daily Blend Universal Bird Seed.

I’ve tried other brands etc but will just keep buying this, so many other brands my birds just tossed the seeds out of the cage and I would have a bunch of seeds on the carpet..not this one!

I feel like this is one of the better seed foods available for smaller birds on the market. The pellets are small enough to trick the birds into eating them, thinking they are seeds. They eat pretty much all of it, and I have very little waste. They get this seed along with fresh veggies, dried egg protein and sprouts, and the birds are happy, healthy and have great color to them.I bought 3 bags of it this time round because it’s the food we plan on sticking with.

The media could not be loaded.  Birds LOVE these seeds. They come everyday and even bring their babies to feed them with the little seeds. It is lovely to watch.I already saw three species eating the seeds, it is the fourth time I bought this brand and I definitely will buy again.

This bird seeds is really fresh. My parakeets love it and they don’t pick through it like they did with all the other brands. It’s a good 👍 value for the price.

My dad asked me to get some birdseed as he has been limiting his outings in the last year. Not easy for an 80- year old retiree used to running to the hardware/gardening store on a regular basis. His one request, after assuring me I should just get whatever’s cheapest, is to get a product without the sunflower seed (whole) since they go uneaten. With this seed, there is less waste and whenever I visit there is plenty of feeding activity by smaller birds (SoCal) and doves. The package size also allows me to deliver to my dad and let him redistribute as needed without worrying about him lugging 25 lb sacks around. Helping him in less obvious or direct ways is a strategy that seems to balance out with the times he needs a more literal helping hand. My dad also likes giving the birds what appears to be a nice healthy mix of seed.

The birds outside devoured these seeds! They love them! Seeds like this will help the birds to revive the planet with their poop drippings! Wonderful nutritious bird food!!! Thank you all so much for your work and effort to gather these seeds, package them, sell them, and thank you to the person on Amazon buying the bird food to sell to us as well. I am grateful and so are they, and so is Mother Earth!

Bought this for my new back yard bird feeder and it seems very popular with the birds. Every day I’d see a new bird out there eating it – the was a little red one, a brown one, a yellow one, and one with a little black stripe. At one point two birds entered into some sort of altercation over the feeder, which I can only assume is down to the popularity of this bird seed. Hopefully that level of avian aggression is more a reflection of the character of the two birds fighting than the effects of the seed, so, violence aside, I’m going to go ahead and recommend it!

It adds so much color to my work from home life as these birds will stop by everyday and say hi. It keeps me so motivated to feed them and hope for more birds to come by and enjoy the snacks and some water before their next stop. Initially I was afraid if I’d be able to birds as mine is apartment and live at 4th floor. To my surprise, they came and getting more everyday!
