Arrived well packaged ..Been using it everyday since I cleaned it after shipping. Have to say I really like this ice maker ..My old one lasted 14 years and finally gave it up ..I hope to get a long use from this one too but we will see .. It holds the ice better than my old one and a lot lighter too.. I had the bullet kind. I’m liking this one set on – 6 which is the lowest setting after trial of finding which was better for me ..I like to crunch my ice .. it does come off in sheets but I found lowering the setting produces a thinner sheet between the cubes and still has some body to the cubes .. I have not had a problem with breaking it up with the little plastic shovel they provide … Have not used a bottle to fill yet not sure which to order I just keep it manually filled ..Will update when things change ..

I got this countertop ice machine for some outdoor entertaining, and for in the garage. I spend a lot of time in my garage and always have to come back in the house to refresh my beverage. Having cold drinks in my minifridge and and ice machine makes it so much easier. And, I don’t dirty up the house as much, trapsing in and out.Here are my observations about this machine:It works by chilling the stainless steel ‘tray’ and running water over it. As the water gets colder it freezes in the tray. After the tray reaches a cold enough temperature, that signals the machine that the trays is full of ice. The system pauses and the ice drops into the bin. The next cycle begins.1. I really like the way it is designed. I understand the tech inside it and am very impressed with how well it works. It is so capable, yet so compact. The fit and finish of all the components equals that of commercial machines. Very well made.2. I like how quickly it produces ice. After I filled the tank with room temperature water, it was about 20 minutes until it dumped the first ‘tray’ of cubes. That load was not as well formed as the subsequent loads. But, it was good enough to ice down four tall glasses of tea. Then, it continued to pump out a new ‘tray’ about every 15 minutes. Each tray being better than the last. About half way through that first gallon of water, it was chilled enough that the cubes were completely formed and crystal clear.3. I like the quantity of ice that one tank of water will produce. As you can see in one of my pictures, I have two 1 gallon storage bags full of ice, all from one tank.4. I like the convenience. Not just about having an ice machine where I want it. But, also for the filling options. You can either fill the tank manually, and / or place up to a 2.5 gallon water jug on top for continuous operation. (The instructions really didn’t go into the jug option. But, all you do is leave the black jug adapter plate in place. You have to lift it off, to manually fill the tank.) There is a trip plate in the ice collection bin that will stop operation, once the bin is full.I really look forward to the warmer months, when I can be outside more, in the garage more and have cold, iced beverages on hand, thanks to this Silonn countertop ice machine.

The media could not be loaded. This is one case of “If it’s too good to be true”? Have faith!! The product was delivered on time, I followed the “clean before use” instructions and viola. From the time the box was open until my glass was full of ice . I put 2 liters of water in the fridge and pour it into the ice machine and it keeps going and going. And it is not noisy at all. This was great money spent!

it’s like haveing a small Commerical unit on the counter. it holds close to a gallon of water in the reservoir, or you could add a water bottle on top of reservoir up to about 3.5 gallons. it made more ice in 1 hour after starting up than my 2-year-old Samsung refrigerator makes in two days! i know it is new, but I have dealt with A lot of Commerical ice makers fin last 40 years and this is very similar to the better units.

This is an impressive ice maker. Clean and clear ice made pretty quickly. I would recommend using an ice pick or sharp knife to break up the sheets of ice cubes, as they are pretty solid. Great machine!

Pros: Its quiet, fast, well packaged, square cubes, and has a water jug holder. Im so glad that I purchased this!Cons: The jug that I purchased is a little too big on the side. I wish that I could take the top door off or that I had the maximum width of the jug recommendation. It still worked out though.
