   First of all I never thought I’d be writing a review like this. Let start out by saying I’m a bigger girl. I weigh 288lbs. It will make sense. Even at my weight I’ve never had a problem wiping my booty. Now that leads me to January when I broke my right wrist. My dominant hand. I CANNOT do anything with my left. So there comes a day when I have to poop. I remember seeing an episode of my 600lb life and a lady used a pair of tongs to hold the TP to help her reach around. So off to the store we go. Get back home tongs in hand. It works but not the most comfortable. My daughter says mom I’m sure Amazon has something. She types in ass wiper and this product comes up. I immediately order it. What do I have to lose at this point? It has been the most amazing product! Yep it’s soft. It reaches perfectly. I used flushable wipes with it so help keep me clean. Now my cast is off and I still do not have good range of motion and less flexibility than I had before. So I am still using it. I wished that I had one that folded so I could take it in the bathroom when I travel instead of trying to hide this one in my jacket. So I take a look and there is a foldable one. BUY IT! You won’t be disappointed.

   Obviously a topic usually avoided, but after shoulder surgery, I couldn’t quite reach “down under” for personal hygiene needs in the bathroom. This served the purpose very well. Easy to handle, nothing extra required, and no assembly. Keeps your hands free and clean.

   AM a wheelchair user. This really helps me in toileting clean up. I’ve tried all the others, this one works best and is more reliable. Sturdier as well. Got more to stock up. However… This one works but won’t pop back up (the spring on the handle). You have to bring it back up manually. I don’t know what’s going on with this manufacturer (not the seller), but have had a rash of defective units lately. I ordered two more just to keep on hand and checked both of them when they arrived and everything is fine. But had two units bought from two different sellers and both were defective. I’d advise everyone to check it right away to make sure it’s in good working condition. Otherwise it’s a great product.

   This product should be sold to hospitals and sent home with patients. It works well and you don’t realize how limited your motion is following back surgery. This enables you to a little bit of independence and privacy, otherwise someone else will have to do the wiping. And I’m serious!

   I suffered a herniated disc in my back and was in severe pain. I was not able to reach my tooshie to wipe. I searched for an option and found this. Let me tell you, it’s a life saver! I don’t have to work my body into any horrible positions to wipe anymore. It’s really easy to use and more thorough than the human hand, let me tell you! I actually have 3. One for each bathroom and one for the van so that if I am away from the house, I can still go anywhere I need to. I even bought one for all of my family members last year for Christmas. They laughed at me, but just wait, there will be a day that they need it and they will thank me! I’ve actually found I use less toilet paper this way too!

   If you have difficulty wiping yourself after going to the bathroom, please purchase this aid. It truly works. The curved teal head covers a mechanism that holds toilet paper in place. Simply hold by the handle and let the length of the tool reach the area that needs wiping. Release the toilet paper by pushing the top of the tool handle, and the used toilet tissue falls into the toilet. Your hands stay clean because they never touch the used toilet paper. I still wash my hands afterwards…years of habit.

   This personal hygiene tool works as described and is easy to use. Bathroom tissue is easy to put on and the tool holds it securely. Soiled tissue is very easily to remove by just pressing the release at the end of the wand. No need to touch the soiled tissue!! I only wish there was a way they could come up with a “travel” version of this wand as it is the best I’ve found, so far! I have limited reach due to an injury and this wand lets me maintain my dignity. I can perform my own personal hygiene after using the restroom!

   I have bought four of these so far. The first two came is just plain plastic wrapping, and had darker teal rubber on both ends. One of these broke after about 8 months of use, and I replaced it with another one, which came in an appropriately printed box. I don’t know if the first ones that I got were knock offs, or what, but they look and function exactly the same, so I’m not going to complain either way.As for function, I read the reviews before purchasing, and many folks said you had to use these from the front. I do not find that to be the case. I just scoot forward a bit and use it from the rear, no problem. Just make sure you tuck the tp in snugly, so that it doesn’t mind up sticking to your bum instead of the handle.

   This is the second time I have bought this item. It really is helpful. I have severe arthritis and very limited range of motion in my hands, shoulders, and hips. The Long Reach makes it possible for me to take care of myself without help. Independence means a lot to me.
