   Ideal little broom and dustpan set for those areas around the home that need a quick touch-up. The height is perfect for most adults and you won’t have to bend over to sweep. In other words, this isn’t a kids set. It’s very practical and handy for sweeping up the random dry spill, tracked-in dirt around the front or back door, or fallen crumbs around the table. It’s plenty sturdy to hold up well for that type of use. For heavy duty cleaning and large areas, I would stick with a standard size broom and a more sturdy, heavy duty dustpan. However, this is ideal for quick clean-ups around the house. If you don’t abuse it, this set should last for quite a while. It’s also very reasonably priced compared to similar sets. For all of those reasons, I’m quite happy and satisfied with this purchase.

   I don’t know why some people are giving this a bad review because the broom is short. It’s obvious that the broom is short before you purchase it. I love this set. I bought one for my aunt who has Alzheimer’s, and I came back to buy two more sets for me and my mother. I love that you can just set that dustpan aside, sweep up your mess whether it’s you’ve pulled out a piece of furniture and you’re sweeping behind it sweep up a pile and sweep it right into the dustpan without having to move the dust pan, grab a dust pan, hold the dust pan, anything. The dustpan is always sitting there waiting on you to sweep your stuff into it. I personally like to use a small room for small jobs. If I am going to sweep an entire room I will use a big broom and still use this dustpan.

   Can’t tell you how long it last, because our first dust pan is still in use, my best guess is around 20 years old. The best thing it has not changed. I bought this one for our pantry in the garage. I am forever, dropping dog kibble on the floor when I am scooping up for the house container. My two boxers our terrible eaters they get more on the floor than it their tummies. This little gem is perfect for picking up after them. As I get older I am always looking for short cuts and easier ways to get the job done. Bending down with a dust pan and brush is too hard when you are my age.

   It does the job it’s supposed to. I use it in my studio apartment for small messes that I don’t want to use my vacuum for. I don’t use it often but I’d say that it will last me a while and would most likely hold up pretty well under everyday use. Overall a good buyAlthough I’m a reviewer here I purchased this item at full retail price as a PERSONAL purchase and am reviewing this because I want to.    I saw this at my sister’s house in the corner by the patio door and used it to very quickly help her clean. We both have small children and hardwood floors to keep tidy. This makes it amazingly easy to sweep and immediately dump into the garbage. Cheerios? Check. Saltine crumbs? Check. Pine cones that somehow got stashed in the trunk of the tricycle? Check. If you have a toddler and hardwood floors I think this is really a time saver and worth your money.After six months of it holding up famously, I decided to test drive it outdoors so I could clean up the sawdust my husband left before it rained. This made it so incredibly easy I just had to write a review. Within eight minutes all the sawdust was in the recycling bin. Again, such a huge time saver. The plastic that holds the broom to the dust pan has come lose but no biggie in my book. We always have a screwdriver close at hand.-JS

   I am disabled and and cannot bend over. I use a chair in the kitchen and when I drop something on the floor it is so easy to grab (it is lightweight) and brush up the dirt. No more trying to bend over with a dustpan and brush. I was actually told about this product in a physical rehab. The physical therapist told me how easy it would be on me. Being a senior and living on Social Security the cost was in my budget.

   Several reviewers said this is the same as the Aldi dustpan. I have both & can honestly say they are NOT the same. This dustpan’s bigger (the size of a regular dustpan) while the Aldi one is a smaller pan size. The Aldi one does NOT fold up & this one does. Both lie flat on the floor so everything isn’t just pushed underneath the pan when using them. Neither has the teeth across the back of the pan for combing hair out of the broom & into the pan.I also read a lot of reviews saying the broom is a kid’s toy broom. Not so. This broom is smaller than a full size broom, but the bristle part is bigger than any kid’s broom I ever saw, & works as well as any full size broom but w/ a shorter handle & not as wide bristle part. I don’t know why so many complaints about the broom since this is meant for quick cleanup of “small” jobs & then fold away. It’s a convenience item & not meant to replace full size brooms for large jobs.I got this for quickly & conveniently keeping the kitty litter area swept up w/o running downstairs for the big broom & dustpan every time. I wanted something that would fold & I could stand behind the litter box in the 2” space back there or stand behind the door. It’s perfect! I have a bad back & don’t need to bend down to hold the pan while sweeping up either.Now there is 1 thing I noticed & would change if I could, but it’s not a complaint. The Aldi dustpan is smaller & just the right size for this broom. So if I could make the Aldi one fold up, I’d use it w/ this one’s broom & use this one’s bigger dustpan w/ my full size regular cleaning broom for big cleaning jobs. Now that would be just too perfect!!

   I ordered this set to sweep my work room at the end of the day, so I don’t have to haul out the vacuum every time. It’s a little bigger than I expected, but once I got used to that, I’m pleased with it. It works, the trash goes into the pan and stays there instead of spilling all over the place. The broom does a good job sweeping. And it does remain standing up once I’m done with it without flopping over. Doesn’t hurt that it’s a pretty blue. So a good purchase.

   As someone with physical disabilities I got really tired of asking for help when (I am able to) sweep. I can’t hold a dust pan and a broom at the same time and I certainly can’t bend over all the way down to the floor to hold the dust pan. I remembered using one of these years ago when I worked at a restaurant. I searched around for a compact and reasonably priced one and settled on this one. So far the quality appears to be very high and it most certainly makes things a lot easier. If you have disabilities, back issues or at just sick and tired of bending over to get those pesky “sweep piles” up after sweeping then you should definitely pick one of these up. Good quality at a very reasonable price and in a size that will store away almost anywhere.

    We have a kitten who kept shredding the litter mat in front of the litter box, so I had to remove the mat, which resulted in litter scattering even more than usual. I was using a hand vac to clean it up, but our hand vac is ridiculously loud. I then switched to a short handled dust broom and dust pan, but that bothered my back. I then saw a very cheap lobby broom and dust pan set at a dollar store, and decided to order a nicer one from Amazon. (Yes, to those reviewers who thought THIS Quickie Stand set was cheap and flimsy, visit your local dollar store! In addition, there are sturdier sets than this Quickie Stand set, but they cost more money.) This lobby broom and dust pan is the perfect solution. I can easily sweep up the litter without having to bend down too far, and it folds up for easy storage. I am quite pleased, as is my back.
