   This Panasonic plays all my DVD and BluRay discs (so far) without any issues. It just works :)I have had more expensive LG and Sony DVD/BluRay players that kept faulting in different ways. LG would just shut off a few seconds into a movie and the Sony would have the screen go pixelated and freeze. I have actually had numerous issues with Sony and LG over the years that I will no longer purchase any of their products, so thank you Panasonic for making something that simply works as intended!

   This 4K UHD player was exactly what I was looking for. I have a modest Blu Ray / UHD collection of my favorite movies / shows with high replay value, and where streaming just doesnt cut it (either b/c of quality or it just isnt readily available – think Lord of The Rings, Game of Thrones, John Wick, Interstellar, etc).My home theater setup – even more modest. A budget 4K 65″ TCL TV with built-in sound bar. At my level / budget, it just doesn’t make sense to buy one of the fancier players that range anywhere from $250-$1000 that have more bells and whistles.Is this player perfect? Far from it. The UI looks like it is from the mid-00s, the remote is small (yet functional enough), the player itself does have a light/flimsy feel to it, and the lack of HDMI cable is a minor inconvenience but enough to make you say, “really?”. BUT! The picture and audio this baby produces is GREAT!!! Even in my setup and use case, the difference is truly night and day from what my old Blu Ray player or Xbox could produce. It feels like Panasonic cut every corner imaginable with these players EXCEPT with how it actually plays, and that’s really all I needed at the end of the day.I cant say Im super confident this player will last as long as other products of the past from Panasonic, but that seems to be the case everywhere today in consumer electronics, and particularly with these 4K players (even from other brands and higher quality models). So for what it is, I’m very pleased with this purchase! If you’re looking for a player that can do 4k UHD, Blu Ray, DVDs, and CDs, look no further!

   This was the uhd 4k player that works great and is affordable. The first one that was sent to me was garbage but they replaced it with zero hassle the old box was picked right up from my doorstep while the new one was being shipped to my house. The second one I receive works perfectly with my Samsung QLED TV. The 4K Blu-ray’s are vibrant and incredible.

   I looked this device over for what’s lacking. The only thing lacking is additional jacks beside the included HDMI, USB & Network input. No included Wireless Networking, it has to be hardwired. No Streaming device either included. If you want a superb quality 4k player only, Panasonic is your brand.

   Just as perfect picture resolution as my 12 year old Panasonic standard Blu-Ray player. If only this one had Dolby Vision.

   Great barebone product for the price! who cares if it doesn’t have wi-fi. it doesn’t need it! It comes with a direct connect for software updates. Pay an extra $100 for that and to use streaming apps if you want. I got a roku so I don’t need the player for that. This plays 4k HDR movies and upscales the 1080p blurays!!! the only complaint is the dvd/movies do get warm from playing them. Small unit and fits underneath my tv perfectly. You won’t find a better 4k player for less. I looked!!! This replaced my panasonic 1080p player which still works to this day. I had that for 15 years. I read some reviews that theirs died after a few months. we’ll see, but I trust panasonic and it has a 1 year warranty.
