   I want to give it a four star review bc it does not always completely recoil ; but this has been such a great purchase I can’t not give it five stars. Our dog has a ton of energy so letting him off is great when no one is around, but when I need him under control it’s right there. If you’re dog pulls really badly this might not be the solution for you. We’ve gotten it wet, sandy, muddy etc a lot and it still works great. When it doesn’t recoil all the way I just squeeze it a little and it goes.

   This works great for our dog. We take our dog on walks and she literally stays by us the whole time. I wanted to try off leash but wanted to be able to grab her when needed. It acts like a collar and I can pull out the leash and it easily retracts back in. It does make a “winding” noise when rolling back up that scared our dog at first but she got use to it.Also side note – our dog it not a big puller of the leash when someone or a dog walks by so this works for us. We wanted it more for the look that she was on a leash if someone walked by with or without a dog and was worried. We know she won’t run but this gives them the peace of mind she won’t.

   We hike with our dog on trails where you’re supposed to have your dog on a leash. Well, he is really great about staying near us, but we like to have him on a leash when people pass us by, to be polite. This thing makes it so easy! He is 23 lbs and it looks a little big on him, but he doesn’t seem to mind. It’s nice being able to easily just grab the loop, pull out the lead, and restrain him as long as needed. Much better than carrying a leash around with you that you don’t use the majority of the time. My dog doesn’t pull so I’m not sure how well it would hold up to a lot of tugging — the lead is pretty thin, but could be strong for its size. Highly recommended for well-behaved trail dogs!

   Pick this one. Best product I’ve ever purchased for my dog. Had a few months now and very pleased. Makes going for a run SO much easier. Great for camping too. Also super handy for those inevitable dog encounters when approached by an excited pup and the leashes get tangled. I could just let go and the leash slipped back into the collar without any fuss. My dog will still sometimes pull when leashed, and this collar has held up to that without a problem. I got a large for my 73lb GSD. Highly recommended.

   Great solution. Leash reliably retracts and is easy to grab if situation changes (another dog approached while we are doing off leash training in our cup-de-sac). Leash handle is balanced between light weight for retracting and strength. Ours broke in first 3 months (large puppy has not learned to stop pulling) but company provided excellent service and immediately replaced.

   Ever since we got this collar with the retractable leash, I never want to use a standard leash and collar ever again! It’s so convenient and I love that I don’t need to have multiple leashes laying aroundb(ie car, doorway, etc). This is a must have!!

   Its a strange looking collar but has been worth its weight in gold for me. I walj my dogs off leash around the farm and stuff comes up. My hound just cant help himself when he sees another being so i am hff appy for the leash when getting him to come vack home. Another can be aggressive to certain dogs so i can grab the leash in a flash but can mostly let her walk off leash. The leash is longer than other similar collars I’ve used which is great. Ive used them for several months now. One has a small tear in it and one is slower to recurl but overall i love these collars and will reorder

    My pup has to have ACL surgery and this has been a lifesaver. He’s not allowed to be off leash for 8 weeks and this has allowed me SUPER CONVENIENT and quick access to control him and his pace. I also get to take him on several walks a day rehabbing his knee and I don’t have to grab his leash and excite our other dog thinking they’re going on a walk. It’s been calm and he can easily wear his collar/leash all day.I can see this being super helpful for off leash play too or on the trails when you need to quickly grab your dog.
