Best quality I’ve ever seen. You’d have to pull these repeatedly, and very hard, across a razor-sharp metal surface to have any chance of cutting through them.I once read about a guy who thought his were defective because his contractor claimed they didn’t work after he ran them. I just don’t believe it. Just the same, if you have someone else run your cabling, first test the cables to ensure they work. Then if someone claims they were defective, you know s/he is lying.

I was pleasantly surprised when I received this cable. It reeks of quality. I feel like I ripped off the seller because I spent so little on these. I’ve seen cables that weren’t this good for around $60. they have plastic covers for the tips so they don’t get damaged, and the tips are actually connected directly to the cable so if, for any reason, you need to store this guy away, you have a plastic cover for the tip right there handy. I have a optical audio switch( Nyrius SW100 Digital Audio Optical Toslink 3 Input Selector Switch Compatible with Fiber Optic Cables, HDTV, Blu-ray DVD player, PCM, Dolby Digital, DTS, XBOX360, PS3 ) and after I got this, I ordered 2 more so every one of my cords would be the same. even with two of these between the blu-ray player and the surround sound (one into and out of the switch) there was virtually no lag in sound. great product, stock up!

I am very happy with this purchase. I got one of these from a Chinese wholesaler and did not know the source as I had to give it to a client who needed it. I ordered this hoping that it was of the same type because the picture resembled my previous purchase. Lo and behold, it was the same one but this time with the brand name on it. I particularly appreciate two things: the robust woven protective covering, and the end cap covers that are attached for reuse. Very nice touch.

Best quality I’ve ever seen. You’d have to pull these repeatedly, and very hard, across a razor-sharp metal surface to have any chance of cutting through them. I have three of these in different lengths connecting three amplifiers in my house. Now I have a whole house of excellent sound all perfectly synchronized–WOW.I once read about a guy who thought his were defective because his contractor claimed they didn’t work after he ran them. I just don’t believe it. Just the same, if you’re going to have someone else run your cabling, first test the cable yourself to ensure it works. Then if someone claims it was defective and tries to sell you another, you know s/he is lying.

Normally I wouldn’t actually write a review for a cable, but oh man is this thing nice! It’s incredibly high quality, I actually dropped the tip once and it hit my monitor and punctured the panel (luckily it hit my super cheapo monitor lol) and the cable tip itself is still totally fine. Incredibly thick braid as well, really really recommend this for anyone that wants a solid optical cable.

Between the connectors and the outer wrapping this feels way above and beyond the other optical cables I’ve seen. This is long enough for any unusual runs and I had no problems going from component to component over this length. I would say that the connectors are quite big and could present a challenge depending on your particular component. I would make sure you have a good amount of space in all directions (for example, I don’t think the slim PS3 has enough clearance). So far I’m impressed with Monoprice stuff.

Kinda sceptical that 100′ would work. First DAC I bought “Musou Digital Optical Coax to Analog RCA Audio” had poor volume. My TV in the garage was 100′ away from my central audio distribution amp. I was having a hard time hearing my TV in the garage. I figured if I would just toslink the TV it into my home audio system and I would have no problem hearing it. Well the Musou DAC would not play louder than the internal TV speakers. That is with the amp at max volume. So I bought a “FiiO D3 (D03K) Essential Edition Digital to Analog Audio Converter” and that solved my problem. Toslinking at 100′ with a Monoprice optical cable.

This optical cable came on time and well-packaged. It is just as advertised. It’s attractive (if this matters to you!), which a silver casing. The terminals fit securely in each SPDIF receptacle, and it has provided flawless sound since I installed it a couple months ago. One thing to be aware of; the cable length is fairly stiff, which will no doubt result in a durable product, but it’s fairly resistant to bends. It you need to make tight bends, you may want to consider other options. Keep in mind, however, that optical cables shouldn’t be bent too dramatically. For the price, I highly recommend this cable. It punched all the requirements for me, and is providing great service for my desk-top audio set-up.Happy listening!

We’ve been using Monoprice for their audio and visual equipment for years for various home theater setups. The quality and price always makes it the best value I can find. Very happy, as always. Thanks, Monoprice!

I just got this cable this weekend after what feels like a Black Friday shopping spree on Amazon. I had to trim the fiber optic part of the cable a bit as it was protruding out of the ends on both ends of the cable about 1.5 inches. I just grabbed some needle nose pliers with wire cutters on it and trimmed it down to the tip of the connector. It is connected to my Samsung Smart TV and a Bose soundbar. I ran it through the wall to the floor (the reason for such a long length) and it works great. I highly recommend this product.
