10 reviews for Lutron Caseta Wireless Pedestal for Pico Remote, L-PED1-WH, White

It seems like a useless idea, a stand for a remote. Why would you need a stand to hold your remote up a little off your table? But my remote kept slipping off the wooden arm on my couch and falling to the floor, and the reviews spoke of people really loving this thing. And how it felt weighted in just the right way – so I went for it. And it turns out, the reviews are right! I freakin’ love this thing. I don’t know what it is, but it feels super stable and has a rubbery bottom that keeps it from sliding anywhere. I’m super happy with it and finally my tiny remote won’t get lost anymore!

In my bedroom I have a Lutron Caseta light switch, and Lutron’s Serena remote control shades. With this pedestal, I can have both the Lutron Pico remotes attached to this nice, weighty stand, and then I don’t have to fumble in the dark to figure out where the remote is, or wonder if I’m putting up the shades or turning the lights on!I put my light switch Pico on the left, and my shades Pico on the right. Problem solved! The underside of the pedestal is soft, so there’s no way you’ll damage any surfaces, and it looks very smart on my bedside table.5 stars out of 5. Highly recommended for those with multiple Picos used in the same room.

This provides a coffee table mount for the remote control for the light switch. I really enjoy using this because it is very sturdy and it holds the remote in place and doesn’t let it wobble or move while you push the buttons. We have one in the bedroom and one in the living room. Even half asleep and reaching blindly in the middle of the night this stands up to the abuse and holds the remote in place while you search for the button you need.

When I got my Lutron lighting kit and saw the Pico wireless remote, I thought “This little thing could be tough to keep track of”. I found this pedestal base and ordered it immediately. Like all Lutron products I have had, this base is top shelf. It is well designed, well built, and fit the Pico remote like a glove. The base is properly weighted and the non-skid material on the bottom works great. I highly recommend this base.

This is a perfectly designed tabletop holder for my Pico remote! It has just the right amount of weight and heft to it to stay in place. It also looks very stylish and intentional on our coffee room table! We feel like such techies turning all of our scenes on and off with the push of a button. My only complaint is it’s a tad expensive for what it is.. But it doesn’t feel cheap or junkie.

I really like this thing, but for what it is, it’s really expensive. That’s the problem with Lutron, Leviton and their ilk. They have the ability to take something that could be really inexpensive – something that could actually make up for buying their expensive stuff in the first place – and turn it into just another expensive, high-profit add-on item. It is a good product though. Remote snaps on (and off, if need be) easily and it is well weighted.

Solid little stand if you aren’t planning on mounting your Lutron remote switches. We each have one of these on our nightstand and if nothing else, they keep us from losing the switches. You probably already know this, but the switches are about the size of four sticks of gum (stacked the right way) and are pretty light weight. Very easy to lose. This provides you with a solid base to attach them to and not worry about them getting knocked under the sofa or under the refrigerator. The pedestal has a nice grippy bottom to it so it won’t slide around. Plus it’s pretty heavy for it’s size. I wouldn’t change a thing.

Really love this stand . Much sturdier than you would expect, doesn’t budge even when you press the buttons with medium force. Remote snaps into the top place so it fits perfect. Nice rubber bottom to prevent slipping. I bought this for sale price of $10, which I think is fair. Regular price of $15 definitely is too steep in my opinion.

This is a good buy for freestanding/tabletop Pico remotes: the stand is heavy, has a non-skid bottom, and perfectly matches the gloss white of the Pico (if that’s what you have and is the the pedestal you bought; Picos are available in lots of colors, and as of now the Pedestal is also available in black). It also looks a bit better than just leaving a Pico laying on a table, and it’s a lot less likely to get knocked off or lost.It does seem a bit silly to spend this much on what is effectively just a stand for a Pico, but at least it’s not super-expensive, especially by Lutron standards. The quality is there–the stand doesn’t move when you press a Pico button, for example, due to the heavy weight and non-skid (rubber-ish?) bottom. I can’t say I plan on putting these all over my house–I like to mount mine on or in the wall whenever possible, and I have some where I don’t mind them just laying around–but this is certainly a good-looking, well-made option for where it counts.

I like these little remotes. They are almost too small. When using it as a wall switch it is easy to install. When using it alone I recommend the base for it so it will not get lost. You can set a light level to the round button also. You do need to first install the Lutron starter kit on your home network which is very easy to do. This pico remotes work in conjunction with a Lutron switch in the room.
