My daughter and son-in-law are larger people. Both diabetic and have issues getting up and down. My daughter fell the evening before we got this. Thanks to the video we were able to improvise and get her up. NOW we have this lifter and both tried it as soon as I got home yesterday. It works GREAT!!!!! I will not let it get too far away anytime.

When we saw an ad on TV for this item, my first thought was “what a gimmick”. I consulted a physical therapist who recommended the lift. We have a family member who has a fractured leg and is in a brace for 6 weeks. It’s hard to sit up in bed and to get up for transfers between couch, chair, etc. It really makes transferring from seat to couch to bed, etc. very easy. One just has to be careful not to pull the person up too much and pull them over with too much momentum. I would buy this again, if we needed another one.

This item is a must have when it comes to helping a person to stand from sitting on a chair or couch. I needed this for my mother. She has lots of difficulty getting to her feet once she sits down. I have shoulder pain and lifting her is very painful for me. The liberty lift helps with the lifting because it distributes the burden of the lifting equally between the parties. One thing to consider is: each person needs to have good hand strength. Once one person lets go, both parties will fall if they have not reached a stable upright position. Mom had fallen to the floor and we attempted to use the liberty lift to get her to her feet and she did not have the strength in her hands to hold on long enough to get her to her feet. No one was injured but this was a big fail.Otherwise I use the liberty lift multiple times every day to get mom to her feet and I highly recommend getting this.

Liberty Life has been such a help with the care of my 92 year old mother. With Liberty Lift I am able to help my mother stand without putting undue strain on her or myself. She is able to hold onto Liberty Lift and by stepping back I am able to help her stand. The no slip grip handles are an additional feature that makes it usable in the shower, as well! I would absolutely recommend this product for anyone who is caring for someone who needs help standing when seated.

Bought this for my husband who is weak from a lengthly hospital stay. He is almost 400 pounds and was having issues sitting up in bed. I was trying to assist him by holding my hands to his wrists and pulling him up. This resulted in allot of pain for him and unsteady movement. I saw the Liberty Lift online and decided to try it. It is amazing! The position that you are in when you use it, provides a different leverage which totally changes the amount of effort needed to help pull him up. It is SO much easier with the lift. I never expected it to be so much easier!I agree with some of the comments, that both people need to be able to grasp and hold the lift. In our case, we both were able to do that, and it worked like a charm.

I could not believe how easy this device is to use. You have the person sitting down grab the two slots on one side and you grab the other two slots. Lean back and as you do, ask the other person to pull on the handle. Walla, you have lifted them very easy without hurting your back. It is wonderful and you can lift them quickly. Great device..I ordered three . Get them while you can. Great gift for those elderly trying to get up out of chair, etc.

THIS DEVICE IS AS ADVERTISED AND IS A BENEFICIAL TOOL. THE OTHER ONE I BOUGHT SAID IT WAS MEDICAL GRADE BUT IT WAS SO SMALL THAT IT COULDN’T POSSIBLY COMPETE WITH THE LEVERAGE THAT THE LIBERTY LIFFT HAS PROVIDED. I’M 60 AND HAVE JUST COME BACK FROM ASSORTED ILLNESSES, BUT I GOTTA TAKE CARE OF MY MOM WHO AT 87 CANNOT GET OUT OF CHAIRS EASILY. THIS TOOL WORKS EXTREMELY WELL, AND EVEN THOUGH I DON’T SUGGST THIS BUT I HAD MY HANDS FULL AND USD THE BAR ONE HANDED AND STILL GOT MY MOM OUT OF THE CAR SEAT-AND SGHE WIRGHS MORE THAN ME. SORRY ABOUT ALL CAPS MY COMPUTER IS STUCK ON TH CAPITALS.

My wife came home from a 35 day hospital stay. We set up a hospital type bed in the house for her. She was so weak that she was not able to raise herself up using the bedrails. I found this item on Amazon and decided to try it. She would grab this device while I held it and helped pull her into a sitting position. enabling her to sit up with my help. She liked the progress and said it helped her build her strength and confidence. We did this two or three times a day. Over the course of a a couple of weeks, this helped her gain strength in her arms and upper body. We retired it after a month. She no longer needed the assist.
