We purchased this for our 17-yr-old cat who primarily sleeps now, has achy joints and always liked to sleep on our floor vents in the colder months, but I worried about her when the thermostat was set low while I was at work. From the minute I showed it to her, she loves it. She spends most of her day in it. One of our best purchases for her over all these years. Worth every penny!

I was worried that our house (and especially the room that we think of as “the cat’s room, as it’s her favorite) might be too cold for our cat in the winter. I did some googling, and found that cats’ body temp is higher than humans’ — they need more heat! This bed is the perfect solution: It’s a good temperature, it looks cool, and she loooooves hanging out in it.

I sort of dislike this pod because now my cat prefers to sleep in the pod instead of with me, ha-ha. I am jealous of a heated cat bed. My hairless kitty is really happy and if she gets too warm, she hangs her front half out of the opening. She is too comfy to come all the way out. I no longer have to worry about the kitten getting chilled.

My cat loves this. I took the top off for her at first and she settled in and went right to sleep. I put the top on for her for bedtime and she loves it too. Great quality and gets warm but not too hot.

I ordered this for a cat that I rescued back in early fall. I unfortunately couldn’t keep him indoors and worried about winter coming up and I’m so glad I bought this one. I was skeptical of the price since I never bought anything like this and wasn’t sure if he’d go in it but so farso good. Shipping went smoothly, and it even came a day ahead of schedule. Assembly was easy and taking it apart for cleaning is just as simple. So far, he seems well kept and warm inside this little pod on the nights we plug it in. I was so worried since we are experiencing lower temperatures than usual, but so far he’s been nice, cozy, and safe. The cute little window on top is also great if you want to peek in on them.

I’ve been a fan of K&H cat beds for years now, especially the heated ones for my senior cats and my sphynx. Unfortunately one of my younger cats urinated in one of their regular pod beds and after weeks of trying different products, I could not get the urine smell out of it. So that led me to needing to order a new heated pod bed so the sphynx would have two again since the pods are their favorite heated beds. I came across this look-out pod bed and decided to order 2 instead of just the one I needed. The cats seem to have an easier time getting into these versus the older K&H pods, and it’s easier for them to be able to look in to see if the bed is occupied or not. Easy to clean (unless your cat urinates in it, lol). Definitely 5 stars and worth buying!

This works perfectly. We have an old sickly cat that I got this for. It took a couple of times for her to figure out how it works but now she loves it. Even one of our dogs figured it out and has been trying to use it.

It’s actually not true to say that the cats don’t ever use the beds we buy for them – the heated pad makes this one of the winners during the cold months, or year-round for our older cats. But even if they never used this one, I’d still love it! The transparent dome is a great feature to keep the heat in but make it easier to know whether it’s occupied by a cat when you’re desperately wandering the house trying to find them.
