   I have been looking for a dashcam for a few weeks. I wanted something easy to use and set up with just some basic features. This dashcam goes above and beyond. It has front and rear video and both have fantastic picture quality in day or night driving. The front dashcam is a great size, takes up minimal windshield space, and the HD video display covers the entire backside of the unit for maximum screen size with no wasted space. The rear dash cam is the same with a small size dashcam so it’s not in the way when I look out my rearview mirror. Rear cam picture is also HD Video and displays on the fronts screen if you want or change the setting for no display. Here is where this dashcam goes above and beyond, it has a built-in Forward Collision warning system and Lane Departure Warning. It’s like upgrading my car! This dashcam has alerts for red light cameras and road hazards. I downloaded the app and didn’t even need to call customer service to help, simple to set up and understand. Great price and I am thrilled.

   As A Stand Alone Camera it can’t be Beat! The software that you download “DriveSmarter” sucks the big weenee! Cobra is deaf to the issue, don’t buy it for the software.

   This camera is a replacement of a old camera of a different brand. I really like that you can see the symbols on the screen to let you know what the buttons are for. It’s easy to set up with your phone and you can change the settings on the camera or on your phone.Both came with a adhesive stick on mount which I don’t know how long that would last. I used the stick on mount for the rear camera and I bought a mount for my rear view mirror that can swivel. My old camera had a suction mount that would fall off about every month and the camera thought it was in a crash and stop recording. This camera has a separate file for events like this. I also like that you can remove the camera easily because of the magnetic connection for the mount. My wife hit it with her hand the other day reaching for something on the dash and it did not fall, all I had to do was readjust the camera mount that is on a swivel mount. I have not used the talk to camera option yet, but I don’t use that option on my phone either.The camera quality is great and it has a little weight to it. The night vision is very good even on the rear camera and I have a tinted rear window. The picture quality is also great.I liked this camera enough that I bought one for my truck.I downloaded the IRadar app that works with the camera but I found out that it has a subscription that I don’t really need. I guess if I traveled alot it may be worth it.

   Bought this dash cam because of good reviews. It works perfect!! Night vision, frond and inside your car. It also has ICloud where it stores videos. Perfect for safety measures.

   Full disclosure: I am a first-time dash camera owner. That said, I am a tech professional and did a ton of research before deciding that this model was the best value for me. Just got the dash camera delivered this past week, and it did not disappoint.Its got amazing video quality, and I found it very easy to setup. Lots of settings I have not played with yet, but it seemed to work well out of the box. The larger display size is nice – particularly because I have it monitoring my rear camera.A few things to note: I found that the “Quick Start Guide” on Cobra’s website has a lot more useful information than the printed version in my box. And the Voice Commands feature is really really cool; worked very well for me – I use “Take photo” and “Lock Video” a lot! Finally, there are two free apps that work with this camera, Cobra iRadar and Drive Smarter. I have been using the second one a lot more – and found it to be nifty. Made it easy to connect my iPhone with the dashcam, and update the camera’s firmware. I’ve been using it to share videos – so convenient to not have to remove the camera from my vehicle or pop out the SD card.All in all – “Two thumbs up” for me!

   Finding the right dash camera with all the selection out there today can be daunting so I’ll tell you our experience and why we chose the SC 201 from Cobra. I also added some unboxing images bc that’s important to me. Shape/Size, video quality, forward facing and in cab facing, and brand recognition were key factors when making our decision. There are all sorts of shapes and sizes out there now. A small sleek profile that doesn’t block visibility was step one. Next we wanted HD/clear video quality 1080P bc what’s the use if you can’t make anything out clearly if and when we ever wanted to share for fun or when we actually needed it. We have young kids and if you do, you know the best things that ever come out of their mouths are in the car.. When else are we all in one place together without electronic distraction and have time for conversation… Lastly, we couldn’t pronounce half the brands out there let alone trust the ones we could and have never heard of. My husband has had Cobra CB’s in his trucks over the years and has their marine radios on our boat. Never had issues so we started and ultimately ended here because they have been around for ever and no reason why they wont be for a ling time. Also we found they have every applicable type or use case dash cam you could want.Product itself came with everything we needed including the SD card. We are happy with the size (I’ll update with the mounting location in our truck later) and the mounting bracket provides flexibility and is small when you don’t have the camera mounted. First couple trips around town and really pleased (actually surprised) on the quality of the video. Has already provided mediation in a dispute, which I won, and for the record after reviewing the tape HE was supposed to defrost the fish for dinner that night.. :)

   Wonderful camera, surveillance it’s amazing, I need help with the installation, took like 4 hours and I recommend if you are not running your car one day use the remote starter at least 10 minutes or start your car manually otherwise the camera in surveillance mode will discharged the battery of the car by the camera, still the Camera works great 👍

   Worth the money I have both versions this one is really nice the old setup didn’t come with go’s built in. Plus they give you so much cable it’s sick. I put this in the new body style impala very nice and the app works great.I would say it’s worth it’s money easy.

   Love this cameraPeople are insane drivingProtect yourself from all aspects of chaos on the road. Even if tragedy strikes a family member will have record of the video from your cloud.I drive older vehicles…… I hate newer vehicles get you one of these!

    I have a card reader/adaptor. Just pop the card out of the camera, and load it up on computer, and it works AWESOMELY…ordering another one for my other car right now!!I still haven’t figured out the phone app yet, but I’ll get to it…
