   Septic safe is a given for most toilet paper brands, but my problem with many of them is the fact that the rolls are skimpy. I’m definitely all for any kind of “Mega Roll” because they are actually good old-fashioned rolls. One of the Charmin rolls I purchased some time ago was embarrassingly small. I could actually see a good two inches of the spring rod when I put on a roll. Not good and certainly not worth buying no matter how soft it is.Unlike some brands Charmin tends to come in consistent batches. In other words, sometimes some are rough while other times they are soft. It’s just getting the type I want and it’s not the skinny rolls that were passed off as “double” last year. I also have the double and do prefer the Mega because they are small.One thing I don’t like is that every now and then, because we have a low-flush toilet, the bath tissue will clog everything up. The pluses for me are that it is manufactured with only pulp fiber, is unscented, is clog-free and the plastic wrapper can be recycled.The big plus is that I don’t have an hour round trip, don’t have to stand in line, Amazon delivers and doesn’t put dings in my car door with a cart. Can’t get much better than that. Definitely nothing ever satisfies everyone, but Charmin is one of the brands we do like and purchase.

   I never imagined writing a review on toilet paper, but it’s thanks to the pandemic toilet paper reviews are almost a public service :-)This TP isn’t the strong stuff that feels like construction paper on your rear, but it is reassuringly thicker and stronger than Costco’s Kirkland’s plain two-ply (which is my typical brand). I bought the Kirkland plain for years because of the long and wide rolls. These rolls are comparable in length and width to the Kirkland brand. They are thick and soft, so if you are a strong toilet paper person this may not be for you (but Charmin Essentials does make a strong version that is noticeably stronger than these rolls.) 30 big rolls should last a long time. If you have young kids, be sure to remind them not to use or flush too much, because I could see this clogging if they do. I appreciate the big rolls and the great performance, so I’m a fan. No reason not to give this toilet paper 5 stars.Hope you found this review helpful!

   I’ll start this review with a disclaimer. A little over 40 years ago I worked for Procter & Gamble in a paper mill that made Charmin, White Cloud, Bounty, and Puffs. I admit to some bias because I still believe P&G is a first class organization and they make very good products for the most part. That said, I believe this is good quality toilet paper. We’ve been buying Northern in bulk from a warehouse store for many years because it is a bit lower cost, but comparing a large roll of Northern to this, the Charmin rolls are slightly wider (about 1/8″), slightly larger in diameter (about 1/4″), and it feels a bit softer than the Northern. Charmin’s label says there are 352 sheets on a roll, while Northern’s says 171. Both products are two-ply. My opinion is that Charmin is a better product, but both are premium toilet paper compared to brands that are used in commercial locations like store or most business bathrooms. P&G is marketing this in bargain packaging to reduce the cost, but it is still their top quality Charmin TP inside. One thing a buyer would need to check is to see if the larger rolls (roughly 5-1/2″ outside diameter) will fit in their TP holders.

   Charmin isn’t my usual brand of toilet paper but I’m satisfied with this brand. Each pack contains 10 rolls (3 packages total). Each roll fits perfectly on my holder and I don’t have to change it as often because these are the mega rolls. A roll typically lasts about 3-4 days with 4 people in my family using it. Although this brand is soft, it doesn’t seem to be as thick as I remember Charmin being but it does get the job done and absorbs well and fingers don’t poke through it. It is a 2 ply toilet paper and doesn’t leave behind any lint at all. The design on the rolls is pretty but isn’t a factor to me in deciding which brand to purchase. This brand breaks up well in water and doesn’t clog my toilets at all which is great if you have kids who think it’s cool to use too much of it and love to waste. Charmin is a great quality brand that I’d purchase again.

    Charmin is a leader in toilet paper because it is good. Hands down is on the top of the luxury line of toilet paper. This variety is soft, strong, durable, and thick. It’s doesn’t get much nicer for your bottom. I love a good quality paper and this checks off all the boxes. I am very pleased. The best part is the huge rolls. They barely fit on my holder. I love the added times between when I have to change the rolls. Since I am the soul toilet roll replacer, I like that I’m doing it less. I am not sure about toilet paper math, but I do notice they last longer. I am confident we could ride out another toilet paper shortage with these 3 packs. It’s much more than I was expecting. I recommend it highly!
