We have now had our bed for a few months. It’s good as new, after hosting our Boxer, and 150 lb Saint Bernard. They share sometimes, and it supports them both. I can’t say enough about how great this bed is! We are getting another. After weighing out the cost of our usual $50-$75 beds that need replacement every 6-12 months, we decided to get another Casper that should last… forever I suppose!

The bed is nice, but it’s a little small for my 50 lb. beagle mix. I was satisfied with the quality and the ease of cleaning, but then something unexpected happened. It was time for my dog’s flea treatment (K9 Advantage) which I applied in the late afternoon, around 3 pm, and the next morning ugly black spots were on the bed. I thought, no big deal, I’ll wash it, only to find on inspection that the fabric was actually melted. The faux suede just kind of disappeared and what’s left feels plasticky. My dog is 10 years old and I’ve never had a problem with his flea treatment on any of his other beds, or even the couch for that matter. I am seriously disappointed – I never would have expected that Casper would sell such an expensive bed without making sure it could withstand the most basic wear and tear from a product almost every dog probably uses. Because of this, I would not buy again.

My animals have been sleeping in Casper’s beds for 6 years now! I am on my second set of 3 beds. They really do last. I have 1 dog and 2 cats and they ALL sleep in the CASPER BEDS! I originally only bought one for the dog and with in an hour or so the cat had taken over the bed before the dog even got to try it out! They both slept in there together for a while until I ordered another one. It was a tight fit. 2 20 lb animals is a small size bed. Cozy! I wash the cover every 2 weeks. My dog has severe allergies and I vacuum the beds every day. I do wish they made a water proof liner to go inside though. That’s my only suggestion. And that’s to help with my dogs allergies.

Theo loves his Casper bed!! Almost every morning prior to this purchase my standard poodle Theo would jump into my bed after my husband left to work. During the night he’d often go on and off of his old bed onto the carpet looking for a more comfortable spot. He has had two other beds in his two years of life with me and it was the same deal; not comfortable. I was so hesitant to spend money on another bed that would potentially be just as disappointing. So I looked up best dog beds on the market and Casper came up as #1 or #2, can’t remember, and because of the name I took the chance. So glad I did because he loves it! Theo stays on his bed all night and morning and sometimes refuses to get up at all to go out. One of the pictures I’ve posted clearly shows him refusing to get up by covering his face as I demand he needs to go out to potty. This bed is a winner! Glad I purchased! I recommend trying if you have a similar problem and hopefully you’ll have the same results as I do! Bed was easy to assemble, looks very easy to clean; will write another review once I have to wash it.

My cat Louie is a 24-pound Maine Coon I adopted last year. I wanted a mini mattress to deter her from sleeping on mine and my partner’s bed (his decision). It does feel like a small mattress and fits perfectly in her Petique bedside lounge. I wish it was slightly bigger but I think she feels safe and snug in it. She prefers it with a blanket tucked up against her. I’ve only had this a couple weeks and now I usually come home to find her in it instead of our bed!

Ok. In the world of dog beds Casper has gotten this right. All too often people are forced to spend too much money on a substandard product that will just pancake out over time. This bed was easy to assemble, the fabric is incredibly durable and looks good , a nice thick cushion and side walls for head resting. The cushions themselves are also wrapped. I have a large borzoi and it fits him very perfectly. It’s well worth the money spent and now Casper should think about adding more range to the cover color selection and they will have it made. Even my cats love this. Getting another for upstairs.

Had the Jumbo 3 years back and it lasted almost 3 years. It lasted through a puppy (became 80lbs) and two 65 dogs. My older dog (in pic) dug in it and ripped the fabric. That’s the only reason I had to throw it out. They loved it. Now that my older dog is not so stable with her legs and arthritis has kicked in, I knew the firmness would be better. With other beds that have significant give, she often trips or struggles to get off. This bed hold steady for her. She loves it and ran to it immediately. Cost is a bit much, but one of the best out there.

    Just a person

Our dog is still middle aged but she’s not the pup she used to be either. The price for this bed is TOTALLY worth it. And I don’t say that easily, penny pincher that I am. But, this dog bed was such a pleasant surprise. It’s firm but soft if that makes sense. Our 80lb dog loves it. She’s plastered to it every day. When she lays on it there’s “give” but she doesn’t sink to the bottom. So her elbows are never contacting the hard floor through the bed. The internal construction is very unique. It has about five long rectangular bolsters that all fit together. Heck it’s nice enough for any person in terms of comfort. It seems very durable and well made. The outer part is washable and very easy to remove and put back on. Couldn’t be happier with the purchase.

Just a few minutes after I finished putting it together, my cat Barney got in it and hasn’t left. He’s a 20 lb orange bobtail tabby and he fits perfectly in it. I got the small and it’s really generously sized. The walls seem to hug him without squishing him and he really seems to like having a place to rest his head. I think he feels really supported in it. The fabric is nice and thick, and really soft – kind of like a microfiber suede. It looks and feels like it will hold up well and maintain its shape, and the washable cover is an extra added bonus. I definitely think it’s worth the money, especially since the price seems to be on the low end of other beds of this type.

I think the pictures say it all! One happy Chihuahua. I thought it would be softer but she loves it. It’s a handsome bed.
