   Only problems I have are not big issues.LFE input is a little quit if you’re trying to throw rave in the basement. However, it’s still PERFECT for getting base heavy music to sound exactly right/musical/amazing. I’ve read that if you use the RCA inputs, rather than LFE input, this solves the problem. OR, if you turn up the bass from your source, it too will solve that problem.I listen to very bass heavy music every day, and it’s perfect for me.I paired this with Vanatoo Transparent Zero powered speakers. Volume at half way goes through our basement floor and can be heard upstairs.Only other issue–that this isn’t a problem for me–is the auto on/off setting is not quite sensitive enough from the LFE input. When starting with soft or quiet music, it wont automatically turn it on. You need to turn up the volume for it to turn on.That being said, this shouldn’t be compared to speakers that cost more. It is absolutely worth 1.5 to 2X it’s purchase price!

   This subwoofer packs a punch once the subwoofer gets broken in. I love the nice small compact design on how the box is. The knobs are very is the turn smooth, and I like how there is a auto and for power for the subwoofer so when signal start coming in you can either have it in the middle to with the subwoofer rogue yo fluctuate depending on how much power needs or you can throw it all the way to the arm position and have a full power all the time. I like how the front grill can be taking off a nice little touch. I do like how the port is on the bottom, to me feels like it give a nice well rounded sound when hitting the notes. This is a great subwoofer.

   Overall nice subwoofer. Has great bass, love the multi connection options. Cabinet looks really nice. Range is good and can make the floor vibrate. If your looking to rock the windows, this is not the sub for you, but when you like your bass in moderation this unit is perfect. Great price. Not all that ecstatic about the box it arrived in. It delivered to my porch in a box clearly advertising what was in the box in big bold letters. It was even double boxed for protection but still, a plain brown box wouldve been a better choice. Recommend being home on delivery date.

   I have been looking for a subwoofer that is affordable and not physically too big. Wow, this 6.5″ Acoustic Audio front firing subwoofer is amazing and I am so glad that I purchased this one with a price tag little over $100. The adjustable gain and crossover controls work very well to adjust right level of bass with my existing audio system. This mini subwoofer gives totally different level of music listening and movie watching experiences. I am very happy that I got this subwoofer and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a mini subwoofer.Thanks Acoustic Audio!JohnUpdate:The standby auto on/off function works well, so no need to worry about turning off the unit at all. The LED indicators turns red after a while (about 5 min or so) when no subwoofer signals come from the audio amp. Like it was mentioned, the built-in output gain control on the back panel helps to adjust right level of bass we want. Everything’s Perfect!

   I got the PSW-250-6, Using this to add a bit of depth to my ‘broke-mans’ 2.1 stereo system. Im running a crosley C6 turntable and a set of Klipsch RM-41’s which are a very bright, detailed speaker without much bottom end; this sub tuned nicely to add the lower frequencies that my speakers were missing. definitely not designed to rock the windows out of a large room but great to add the depth missing for a setup like mine. Let it be noted i payed half of retail for an open box item on this sub, had i paid full price my review would likely be slightly lower because of the lesser value; at full retail id suggest stepping up to the larger sizes, for the few extra bucks it will add a bit of versatility in the event you want to size up your system.

   The high output is not a bass output but rather is designated right and left speakers and is high pass filtered to match with the bass speaker at reference volumes, being ten more decibels to the bass speaker than the side speakers lower frequencies, but not separately adjustable. The only adjustment is a “gain” labeled knob. Thus, one gain controls all volume levels from the output, base and side speakers at the same time. The bass doesn’t sound like a 500 watt system. I think it might be totaled with the side channels, each of them being around 90 to100 watts, leaving around 300 watts to the bass channel and speaker. So, if that’s all you use, the bass, you shouldn’t expect this to be 500 watts, Secondly, watts is bullshit if it means “peak power” instead of RMS. I’m calling bull on the 500 watts, I won’t ever believe it’s RMS. I believe it to be Chinese advertising. How powerful is it? It compares well and sounds terrific at very low or very high volumes paired with my Onkyo TX-8140 which is driving 8 ohm speakers around 110 watts max. Its aux left and rignt aux line outs are hooked together and sent to this subwoofer for subwoofer only, without the side speaker outlets hooked up. I don’t use them. This is tunable enough to send more midrange than you would want through the bass speaker, up to 140, and the cutoff is also tunable far lower than I’d ever want to use. I think for home theater munitions booms, if you want that, like maybe for theater or for gaming. The high power outputs put out nothing under midrange, being filtered very effectively for high pass only, against bass contamination. The bass is remarkably clear and distortion free. It pairs well with a music system running 100 watts RMS over an 8 ohm stereo system. I can’t speak for the side channels clarity or quality as I’ve not used them, but if they are as good as the bass, then this is an excellent gem of a component, but is not a standalone 500 watt bass amp, with 500 watts of bass. Less bass than that.
